Situated within easy walking distance of many of the city's iconic landmarks, including the Acropolis, Monastiraki and Plaka, it's an excellent choice for travellers wanting to experience both the history and nightlife of the Greek capital.
Whether you're enjoying sunset cocktails overlooking the Acropolis or wandering the ancient streets below, this hotel places you right in the heart of the action.

Our Honest Take
We wanted to love this hotel. Brown Acropol Athens has an incredible personality. From the moment you step inside, the retro-inspired décor, welcoming atmosphere and vibrant energy make it feel unlike many other city hotels.
The standout feature without question is the rooftop bar and restaurant. Sitting high above the city with breathtaking views towards the Acropolis, it quickly became our favourite part of the hotel. The food, cocktails and atmosphere were exceptional and created some of our favourite memories from Athens.
Unfortunately, our bedroom experience didn't match the same standard. We discovered that the iron provided had a damaged electrical cable with exposed internal wiring, something we'd consider a serious maintenance and safety concern. Whilst this was reported, it inevitably affected our confidence in the overall room maintenance.
Combined with a few other smaller issues, the accommodation didn't quite deliver the premium experience we'd hoped for.
Brown Acropol gets so much right, but greater attention to room maintenance would significantly improve what is otherwise a fantastic city hotel.

Things to consider
The rooftop bar and restaurant are the real stars of the hotel and are well worth visiting, even if you're not staying overnight.
We experienced a damaged iron with exposed electrical wiring in our room, which was disappointing from both a maintenance and safety perspective.
Some aspects of the guest rooms could benefit from closer attention to maintenance.
Being in the city centre means some outside noise should be expected.
Book a higher floor where possible.

Final Verdict
Brown Acropol Athens left us with mixed emotions.
The rooftop restaurant and bar are genuinely outstanding and among the best we've experienced in Europe. The location is excellent, the atmosphere is vibrant and it's a fantastic place to enjoy Athens from above.
However, the maintenance issues within our room—particularly the damaged iron with exposed electrical wiring—were disappointing and prevented the overall experience from matching the standard set elsewhere in the hotel.
With improved room maintenance and greater attention to detail, Brown Acropol could easily become one of our favourite city hotels.
